1) If you believe that all students should be Web literate, what is the best strategy for your school to prepare you with this skill? Explain.
-  I do believe that all students should be web literate. In accomplishing this, the best strategy for my school to prepare students with this skill would be assigning more research papers. By assigning more research papers, this mandates that the students use internet tools to gain knowledge on a specific topic. This also teachers the students the proper organization skills needed to access the internet, as the assignment would require citations and the use of various sources. Therefore, assigning more research papers to students may allow them to become more web literate.

2) What skills should all teachers have to be Web literate? Explain.
- Teachers require multiple skills to be web literate. Some of these skills include the ability to navigate the web, connect within the web, and build on concepts within the web. The skills of navigating the web can be achieved by knowing how to use software tools to browse the web, and knowing how to locate information, people and resources through the web. Achieving the skills of connecting within the web are through participating on the web, and  sharing access to web resources with others. The last skill of building on concepts within the web can be achieved by creating new ideas for the web, and modifying existing web resources to create something new/improved. Therefore, the skills of having the ability to navigate the web, connect within the web, and build concepts through the web are critical for teachers to have to be web literate.

3) What role should school filtering play in your school district? Explain why schools should block or not block Web sites.
- The role school should play in filtering internet within my school district is minimal. Schools should block websites which have obvious inappropriate content. Although, blocking websites such as youtube.com or yahoo.com can hinder a students accessibility to the necessary resources to complete assignments. Websites such as youtube.com are commonly used within society. In fact, this website may have some inappropriate content, but there are necessary filters within the website which make it easier to avoid the access of students to inappropriate content. Therefore, schools should only block websites that they deem extremely inappropriate.

4) Do you believe the Internet is as big a transformer of culture as the printing press? Explain.
- I do believe the internet is as big a tranformer of culture as the printing press. The printing press and the internet have very similar circumstances. Each invention has allowed for an easier way of life, and an easier way to access news, events , etc. Therefore, both of these inventions have played a signifcant role in shaping our society through the way each invention allow for rapid and mass distribution of information.

5) If yes, what parts of our culture do you believe will be most affected? Explain.
-  I believe the part of our culture that would be the most affected would be the fine arts aspect of our culture, more specifically the cinema aspect of culture. It is evident that the internet has changed our world. Nearly every aspect of our society has been affected by it and has had to adapt. Within cinema, the internet has simplified the process of entering films into contests, and made it possible to network with many more people. Most of all, it allowed filmmakers to gain attention towards their work, and becoming more known within the industry. Therefore, the movie business has had to adapt to the changes the Internet has brought, and is still adapting.
